BAKU OLYMPIC STADIUM

Baku Olympic Stadium is a 68,700-seat stadium, designed and constructed to meet the international standards for stadiums set by the UEFA, FIFA and IAAF.

The full-scale construction of the stadium has started in November 2012. The construction works were performed in accordance with the International Building Code (IBC), UEFA and FIFA standards and Azerbaijani construction regulations. On 28th of February 2014, the head of state was informed that one of the main components of successful completion of this grandiose project is execution of foundation and concrete construction works on time and with high quality. It should be noted that by finishing all estimated works two and a half months ahead of schedule "AZKONTAKT" LLC has made its substantial contribution to the project's success. The official opening ceremony of the stadium took place on March 6, 2015 with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
